Cities concentrate 75% of global carbon emissions and are decisive for achieving global climate goals. Deep and rapid urban decarbonization requires solutions that go beyond technology — it is necessary to transform behaviors, governance, and social relations.
The project works through five Urban Labs in Mexico, Brazil and Argentina, which test new models of cooperation, governance and decision to catalyze systemic changes towards sustainability.
These experiences are strengthened by transformative research, communication strategies, and capacity building, including the use of art and film to create new narratives of sustainable urban future. The models developed are expanded and influence national and global agendas for urban and climate transformation.
