According to the World Economic Forum, 44 trillion dollars of the global economy – almost half of the world’s GDP – are exposed to moderate or severe nature-related risks.
TNFD develops a global, integrated, market-led framework for natural hazard management and disclosure, which serves as a basis for companies to report on their nature-related impacts, dependencies, risks and opportunities.
This transparency promotes the reallocation of capital flows towards a nature-friendly economy. The project helps companies and financial institutions around the world incorporate nature data into their financial reporting, enabling governments, markets, communities and citizens to make more informed decisions for sustainable well-being.
