Many Latin American countries have set ambitious targets to expand the use of renewable energy (RE) in their Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs). However, the growth of the sector still faces significant challenges, especially the shortage of qualified professionals.
The project works to fill this gap by supporting partner countries in identifying training demands, modernizing technical education facilities, and updating educational curricula in the areas of solar and wind energy.
The results of the project are disseminated among OLADE’s member institutions, expanding the reach of good practices and strengthening a regional learning network. Participating universities start to offer more modern training aligned with market needs, and the trained professionals drive the fair and inclusive energy transition throughout the region.
