FLR offers a crucial opportunity to sustain local livelihoods and contribute to mitigation, adaptation, and biodiversity. Despite multiple initiatives, progress in implementation and monitoring has been slow due to various barriers. The project supports the acceleration and expansion of FLR implementation in partner countries. By supporting the implementation of FLRs, the project increases CO₂ fixation in landscapes and promotes the long-term recovery of biodiversity. In addition, it mobilizes additional resources, public and private, to expand FLR activities.
