Brazil is a key player in the global fight against climate change. For the country to move forward with more ambitious commitments, it is essential to engage public opinion — especially among young people. Although the theme is already present in the educational system, there is still a lack of innovative educational approaches that arouse interest and deepen knowledge.
In this context, the Escape Climate Change Brasil project proposes the use of a playful and engaging pedagogical tool, inspired by escape rooms, to support the teaching of content on climate change and social justice in Brazilian schools.
The game will be adapted to the local context, also covering topics such as inequality, discrimination and inclusion. In addition to the physical game, complementary materials will be produced, such as a manual for educators. The implementation will take place in schools in two pilot regions, focusing on students aged 14 to 18, teachers and multiplier agents.
The project also seeks to strengthen networks and promote the exchange of experiences in Brazil, contributing to a more creative, inclusive and effective approach to climate education.
