The steel, metals, and cement sectors account for about 75% of industrial greenhouse gas emissions in Brazil. To enable deep decarbonization in these chains, the DDI project provides technical support for the adoption of innovative industrial solutions on a large scale.
Actions include the development of technological roadmaps, a digital platform for material cycles, implementation of demonstration units, mobilization of private capital and creation of a center of excellence for local training. The project will also work with governments and institutions to formulate policies and standards that enable sustainable production methods in the long term.
By combining technology, financing, and public policy strategies, the initiative aims to generate multiplier effects that go beyond the target sectors, consolidating Brazil as a reference in industrial decarbonization.
