The project aims to tackle the twin challenges of climate change and biodiversity loss by promoting a socially just transition to a circular economy. In partner countries, it develops and implements circular economy approaches across key sectors and their associated global value chains. By reducing the demand for raw materials and new products, these solutions relieve pressure on natural ecosystems, thereby helping to mitigate climate change and biodiversity loss.
The project generates positive impacts through a combination of policy support, knowledge exchange, capacity building, innovative business models, and investment facilitation. Digital tools and nature-based solutions underpin these activities. Through its integrated and holistic approach, the project seeks to foster a sustainable transformation toward more equitable and environmentally responsible economic systems globally.
By demonstrating practical and scalable circular solutions, the project also aims to provide replicable models for other regions and sectors. This approach encourages wider adoption of sustainable practices, strengthens resilience of ecosystems, and contributes to global efforts to achieve climate neutrality and biodiversity conservation.
