Although essential to many activities, accessibility to cartographic data in Brazil and Indonesia is limited. This hinders the planning and mobilization of financial and institutional resources, in addition to hindering the establishment of baselines and the monitoring of results. In the context of avoiding deforestation, data restriction prevents participation in markets that offer incentives for sustainable practices. The project provides mapping technologies to facilitate access to data by various actors, supporting planning, fundraising, and the implementation of actions to prevent deforestation and restore degraded forests and landscapes. In addition, it generates subsidies for national policies and long-term strategies, demonstrating the multiplier effect of high-quality cartographic data to increase sustainable land use capacities.
