This booklet brings together clear and accessible information on laws, rights, and public policies aimed at women fishers and coastal extractive workers in Brazil. Its goal is to help these women better understand their rights and expand access to benefits that directly impact their working conditions, income, and quality of life.

In addition to organizing this information, the material highlights the challenges these women face, such as the invisibility of their work, the lack of targeted policies, and the social inequalities that shape their territories. It aims to strengthen their role and increase recognition of their contributions.

The publication was produced by the TerraMar Project, within the framework of Brazil–Germany cooperation, with a focus on valuing coastal communities and promoting sustainability.
